Anyway, This cat is going to ask you several questions which is going to determine how you look and the way your town looks. Now your town maps are really completely random. You could erase your town and have 4 completely different maps. But the way you look can be determined by how you answer certain questions. He starts off by simply asking your name. This makes no difference on how you look. Essentially you could have a male character named Lisa if you so choose. You can't change your name later, so I wouldn't recommend it. I just want to clarify that, Later in the game you can change how your character looks in the game with a hair salon. But if you are like me and want a cute character NOW!!! After he asks you your name He will say, Oh "whoever" what a fantastic name. (I am not being exact with wording because I don't want to be considered plagiarizing.) And you have 3 answers. Cool (for a boy), Cute (for a girl), or I messed up spelling my own name I should go back to Kindergarten.

You simply pick a name for your town and click confirm. There will be some names you can't pick. For example, I wanted to pick England, but it was not allowed. So I settled for Wales (No it is not spelled wrong. It is a part of the UK. Not the animal with a blow hole.) He then asks you to confirm it and gives you four map choices. This is going to determine how your town looks. Look through all the choices and then choose your favorite layout. This is the Layout I chose because both the Town Hall (the purple one) and Retail (the Pink one) are close together and close to the train tracks that lead to Main Street.

But you will need to get your picture taken first which will cost 500 bells. Finally she will ask you to participate in a mayors welcoming ceremony in town square. You will plant a tree and after the ceremony, you will officially be at the save point. SAVE!!!!
